GRAND BASE really nails the family hotel setup (we stayed at their other locations too), and this one's got a prime spot right by the science museum. Location-wise, it's perfect - walking distance to pretty much everything you want to see in Nagoya. The seasonal themed floors are a nice touch, but what really matters is the space - these rooms can actually fit your whole family comfortably, which isn't always easy to find in Japan.

Quick heads up though - while the hotel itself is great, you might spot some of Nagoya's seedier neighborhoods nearby. Nothing to worry about really (this is Japan after all), and they're super easy to avoid. Just turn right instead of left when you leave the hotel and you'll never even notice them.

The tech touches like smart locks and tablet check-in make everything smooth and easy, and being only 12 minutes from Nagoya Station means you're not lugging your bags across the city. For families wanting to hit up the science museum and explore central Nagoya, this location is pretty much perfect.
