Rakuten STAY Nikkohoden, which might be a bit far out of the way but we needed a family room, offers a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature and history in Nikko. While it's located just a 9-minute walk from Nikko Station (and we still walked everywhere from here), each spacious room is designed in a modern Japanese style and features artificial hot springs. It serves as a great base for exploring the World Heritage sites and stunning natural landscapes in the area. Guests can enjoy various room types, including ones where you can bring your furry friends along. Plus, there are fun amenities like a beer dispenser and delicious meals like sukiyaki and French toast available - perfect for a laid-back getaway in Nikko! Recommended.
