Prepare to be amazed by a view that feels almost otherworldly! Just a short trip from Urubamba, you'll discover the incredible Salt Mines of Maras, a cascading mosaic of thousands of shimmering, terraced salt ponds that have been harvested by local families since before the time of the Incas. The brilliant white of the salt against the earthy tones of the mountains is a photographer's dream. You can wander along the designated paths to get a closer look at this ancient tradition in action. The entrance fee is about 20 soles per person.
