Genting Highlands was honestly one of my favourite escapes from Kuala Lumpur. The moment we started heading up into the mountains and the temperature dropped, it already felt like a completely different world. The cooler air, misty views, and greenery were such a nice break from the city heat.

The cable car ride up was one of the highlights for me. Floating above the rainforest with clouds drifting past was such a peaceful experience and gave some unreal views along the way. Once at the top, I loved how much there was to do — from wandering around the huge complexes to just stopping for a coffee and taking in the mountain atmosphere.

What I enjoyed most about Genting Highlands was how it mixes nature and entertainment so effortlessly. You can have a fun, busy day exploring attractions and shopping, then slow things down and enjoy the fresh air and views. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a day trip but also tempting enough to stay the night and fully switch off.
