🤝 To ensure a personal and meaningful experience, our group is limited to a maximum of 8 participants, led by a YamaTrips guide as well as locals who will share local insights and answer all your questions about Japan along the way.

🥾 Because we’re YamaTrips, there is of course an optional hiking component — but don’t worry if you’re joining just for the cherry blossoms. All locations offer no-hike alternatives, including ropeway access and scenic walks to incredble Mt. Fuji views, so you can enjoy the beauty at your own pace.

🍱 Every meal includes a vegetarian option, featuring an unforgettable dining experience at Kakurinbo, YamaTrips’ preferred temple stay where we’ve hosted dozens of guests — all with glowing reviews. For non-vegetarians, there are chicken or pork options for some of the meals.

😴 Rooms are traditional tatami style in the authentic way with comfy futons and shared with no more than 1 other. If you want private rooms, we can also have single supplement for $120 extra per night.

🗓️ Itinerary

Our journey begins at 10:00 AM at Shinjuku Station, where we’ll meet and greet before departing together by private charter shuttle — a comfortable, exclusive vehicle used throughout the entire trip. No trains, no transfers — just a smooth and connected experience from start to finish.
Say sayonara to the crowds and hello to the peaceful landscapes of rural Japan, surrounded by cherry blossoms in bloom.

We’ll head away from the busy tourist areas to visit hidden cherry blossom spots in full bloom, carefully chosen based on the season’s timing. Lunch will be a local favorite — Yamanashi’s specialty “Hōtō” noodles — enjoyed at a traditional restaurant loved by locals for its authentic atmosphere.

Our stay is one of YamaTrips’ most beloved temple lodgings. The vegetarian dinner here is extraordinary — a recipe perfected by monks over centuries, offering a level of flavor and balance that surprises even non-vegetarians.

The temple days offers a deep immersion into Japan’s temple culture, with options for a scenic walk or an easy hike through sacred paths leading to Mt. Minobu, where you’ll be rewarded with views of Mt. Fuji and a connection to the nature, people, and history of Japan. Depending on the day, the temple will also offer a variety of unique hands-on experiences.

On our final day, we’ll visit the serene Fuji Five Lakes area, balancing a few well-known spots with lesser-visited cherry blossom viewpoints made possible through our local knowledge. We’ll return to Shinjuku Station around 5:00 PM, marking the end of an unforgettable journey.
