Tips for hiking in Garmisch
Wear layers. The temperature can change as you walk. You may heat up or the wind could pick up.
Wear sunscreen! Even on overcast days!
Bring cash, some restaurants don’t take cards. At the very least, bring change for the bathroom at the restaurant in case they charge.
Bring snacks and water, more than you think you’ll need.
Wear tick repellant and check for ticks after your hike.
Keep dogs on a leash to avoid scaring the cows. Cows can be dangerous and can trample people if scared.
