What to Pack for Kids
Every child has different needs but here are some essentials for a summer trip to Iceland!

I actually created a free Toddler's Iceland Packing List, linked here.
Just a few reminders to keep in mind when you pack for your own child:
Iceland's weather is completely unpredictable and you will encounter strong winds and rain even in the summer months. If you plan to visit waterfalls, you will also get pretty wet from the mist. So, raingear from head to toe should be at the top of your list.
Even during the summer Iceland can feel quite cold especially at night during poor weather, so bringing layers and warm clothing is also essential.
You may also get lucky an experience some warm, sunny days like we did - so also pack 1 or 2 warm weather options. Not necessarily shorts and tank top, but a pair of loose fitting pants and a T shirt was comfortable on a 65 degree (Fahrenheit) day. It actually feels hotter (65 feels like 70) because of Iceland's location and angle towards the sun.
Shoes with good traction is also important since many of Iceland's attractions require at least a 10 minute walk, often on slippery and uneven terrain. Of course bring waterproof hiking books if your child is old to participate in hiking.
Don't forget a swim suit for the lagoons!
