Get ready for one of the most dramatic landscapes in Iceland, where the jagged peaks of Vestrahorn rise sharply from a black sand beach. Access to the Blacksand Beach is including in the Vestrahorn Campground fee, as well as Viking Village. You can wander along the shore, hoping to catch the famous mirror-like reflections in the shallow lagoon at low tide - unfortunately our timing didn't work out for that scene but it was still a breathtaking view. The whole area is a photographer's dream, so give yourself at least an hour and a half to soak it all in.
