Vik Camping was our favorite campspot in Iceland. Honestly, in my 6 years of travelling, I cannot remember a camp that has been as good as Vik Camping. The kitchen is the highlight as it almost feels like a restauran and you get to meet many other travellers. The showers are brand new too. We stayed here for 2 nights and never booked ahead, however, there is always a big line of people there wanting to book so don't get there too late in the evening.
