The natural pool in Madrigal de la Vera, known as the Garganta de Alardos, is a popular spot for a refreshing dip. Located near the Roman bridge, this picturesque setting offers various swimming areas along the gorge. To get there, just follow the narrow asphalt road towards Candeleda and look out for the sign to the camping area. It's a chill place to cool off and soak up some sun in the midst of nature's beauty.

The Monastery of Yuste, located in Cuacos de Yuste, Spain, is a historic monastery where Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire and King of Spain lived after his abdication until his death. Founded in 1402 by the Hieronymite order of monks, it became a retreat for the retired emperor who intended to spend his days in prayer. The monastery was expanded to accommodate Charles V and his entourage, and visitors like his son Don Juan de Austria and heir Philip II of Spain would come to visit. Today, tourists can explore the emperor's apartments and enjoy the picturesque Valle del Jerte surrounding the monastery.

Garganta de los Infiernos - Los Pilones

Hike to Los Pilones Duration: 1,5 - 2 hours. Easy. Elevation gain/loss: 234 meters.

Hike to Garganta de los Infiernos: 6 hours. Moderate. Elevation gain/loss: 718 meters.

An incomparable route, with two possibilities: Route to Los Pilones (linear, 3 km one way, marked with yellow and white signs) or from Los Pilones continue and take a circular route "Route of the Garganta de los Infiernos" also marked in yellow and white, from the network of trails of the Natural Reserve. They will lead us through the spectacular landscapes of the Garganta de los Infiernos Natural Reserve, passing by the most emblematic places. 🏞️🚶‍♂️🌲

The Carvajal Girón Palace is located next to the main square of Plasencia, just a few minutes' walk from the city's main monuments. The property features a restaurant 🍽️, a cafeteria located in the palace atrium ☕, and parking area in an outdoor courtyard of the building (spaces are limited and reservation is required to confirm availability) 🅿️.

The Carvajal Girón Palace occupies a protected 17th-century building and is beautifully decorated with original stone columns. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning ❄️, a flat-screen cable TV 📺, and free Wi-Fi 📶. Some rooms have the bathroom integrated into the sleeping area 🛁.

The restaurant serves lunches and dinners, which can also be enjoyed on the garden terrace with prior reservation 🌳. The Carvajal Girón Palace serves a buffet breakfast 🥐, and hot dishes can be requested on the spot 🍳.
