🏰 The Castillo de Medellín is a 13th-century fortress located on a hill overlooking the Guadiana River in Medellín, Spain. It has a rich history dating back to Roman times and underwent various reconstructions over the centuries. The castle features two tall towers connected by passages and stairs, as well as defensive structures like bastions and towers. Its interior holds remnants of a rectangular pool known as "El baño del moro." 🛡️ This historic site was declared a cultural heritage monument in 1931, showcasing a blend of medieval architecture and strategic defense elements. 🏰
