The Cerrada del Utrero trail in the Sierra de Cazorla Natural Park is a must-visit spot for nature lovers. This easy and picturesque hike takes you through a narrow canyon with vertical walls and cascading waterfalls along the Guadalquivir River. The trail is well-marked, making it accessible for all levels of hikers. Don't forget to wear sturdy shoes, especially at the beginning where it can be a bit slippery. And if you visit in summer, bring plenty of water and sun protection. Enjoy the stunning views and don't miss the chance to explore this hidden gem!

Circular variant of the Cerrada de Utrero trail, marked by the Natural Park 🏞️, which crosses the Guadalquivir River 🌊. It passes through the lower part of the Linarejos Waterfall (do not forget to enjoy the waterfall views) and descends to the Central del Valle. Crossing the Guadalquivir and the waterfall requires caution ⚠️.

Access: From Cazorla on the A-319 to the Guadalquivir bridge via the Empalme del Valle.

Distance: 4 km.

Time: 1.25 h.

Cumulative elevation gain: 200 m.

Starting point: Guadalquivir River Bridge.

Start on the path protected by railings, which levels off and gently descends hanging over the narrow Guadalquivir canyon. The closed area features limestone pavements covered by oak, maples, junipers, and cornelian cherries where the rugged topography allows it. 🌳🍁🌲
