Bonn | How to arrive

By Air

The Bonn airport is shared with Cologne and is located between the two cities.

There are direct flights from various cities in Germany and Europe, primarily via Eurowings.

To get to Bonn city center, simply go down to the S-Bahn station and take the S19 train towards Siegburg Bahnhof; from there, take the U66 light rail line towards Bonn Hauptbahnhof.

By Train

It takes just an hour and a half to get from Frankfurt Airport to Bonn's Hauptbahnhof, which connects to the rest of Germany and Europe via ICE trains.

By Car

If you are arriving in the city by car, park at the Friedensplatz Garage at Oxfordstraße 23.

From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Market Square.

By Bus

Although less common than the train for long-distance travel, there are bus options to Bonn from cities in Germany and other countries.

There are several bus companies, but the largest is FlixBus; I recommend purchasing your tickets via this website.

In Bonn, the FlixBus stop is located at the UN Campus (Museummeile).
