You can get to Tiaislaavu directly from Parkside Pyhä along an excellently marked and easily accessible route. The journey in one direction is about 2 kilometers, or 30-45 minutes. It’s worth admiring the ancient fell forest along the way, the Kultakero and Ukonhatu fells that can be seen between the trees, and the curious Siberian jay. These birds of Lapland will gladly come and eat out of your hand if you remember to take something to offer them with you. It’s pretty easy hiking trip, usually takes 3-4h.
