The Court Church in Innsbruck, also known as the "Schwarzmander Church," is home to 28 life-size bronze figures guarding the empty tomb of Emperor Maximilian I. Despite the quirky fact that some of the "Black Men" are actually women, the church remains a stunning masterpiece. Visitors can admire the heroic figures and virtuous ancestors chosen by the Emperor, including local hero Andreas Hofer. Don't miss the Silver Chapel with its famous residents Archduke Ferdinand II and his wife Philippine Welser, along with impressive organs for music enthusiasts to enjoy.
