Obernberger See is a hidden gem in Austria, tucked away in the middle of nowhere, close to the border to Italy. From the parking lot, it is only around 30 minutes minutes hike to the lake, but you will feel as if you were miles away from civilisation. The water is crystal clear and has a turquoise colour - just keep in mind it is much colder than it looks! There are no restaurants or other facilities nearby, so remember to bring snacks and drinks.

The price for parking depends on how long you stay, but starts at around 3,50€ for 3 hours.
