The rock sculpture of Decebalus is a massive carving of the face of Decebalus, the last king of Dacia, located near Orșova, Romania. Standing at 55 meters tall and 25 meters wide, it took twelve sculptors ten years to complete. Commissioned by businessman Iosif Constantin Drăgan, the sculpture symbolizes Romanian nationalism and pride in Dacian heritage. The colossal head stares across the Danube River, facing an ancient Roman plaque on the Serbian side. This impressive monument serves as a reminder of Romania's rich history and cultural identity.
