Perched on the hill above town, Himara Castle is a journey back in time. As you wander through the historic walls, you'll discover not just ruins but a tranquil old town with a beautifully preserved church and breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding mountains. The walk up from the main road is a bit of a climb, taking around 20-40 minutes, but the serene atmosphere and stunning sunsets are more than worth the effort. There's a small entrance fee of 300 Lek, so be sure to have some cash on you.
