Rifugio Auronzo, nestled beneath the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Dolomites, is a popular starting point for many hikes. In summer and early fall, visitors can drive up to the hut via a scenic toll road from Lake Misurina. The toll road opens seasonally, typically from late May or early June until late October or early November, depending on snow and ice conditions. Rifugio Auronzo is a great base if you want to stay overnight near Tre Cime, but it’s also the perfect spot to grab a coffee, lunch, or a drink between hikes.
