Even after years of road-tripping and weekend adventures, I had no idea how much of Scotland I was still missing. Annabel has pulled together places that genuinely feel undiscovered - quiet restaurants, hidden bays, woodland walks, cosy stays and those proper local coffee gems you’d never stumble across on your own. I kept finding myself thinking, how have I never come across this before?! If you want the Scotland that never makes it to Google - the version locals quietly keep to themselves - this is the guide you want in your pocket.

I’ve lived in the Central Belt my whole life and I hike most weekends, but Annabel’s map still opened up a Scotland I genuinely didn’t know existed. She’s somehow found new Munros, tucked-away ridgelines, quiet forest trails, wee bays and the kind of off-grid stays you’d never find on Google. These are places you’d only hear about from a true local. I kept thinking, how have I never come across this before?! If you want the version of Scotland that locals keep to themselves — this is the guide you’ve been looking for.

I’ve lived in Scotland my whole life (and I’m from a western island!), but Annabel’s map genuinely opened up a whole new world I didn’t even know existed. She’s somehow found cafes, forest walks, wee hidden bays and the cutest off-grid accommodation spots that don’t even make it onto Google. Places you’d only know if a local told you. I kept thinking, how have I never heard of this?! If you want the Scotland that locals keep quiet - this is the guide you have been looking for

Annabel’s Locals Guide to Scotland was an absolute game changer. Every stop felt like a hidden gem you’d never find on Google or in a tour guide. The cafĂ©s, viewpoints, secret beaches and places to stay were all spot on. It genuinely felt like travelling with a local who knows all the good stuff. We had the best trip thanks to this guide and discovered places we’d have 100% missed without it.

This guide took our Scotland trip from good to unforgettable. Annabel shared the kind of place only a true local would know - the quiet cafes, the tucked away walks, the stunning stays and the little villages the books never mention. Every recommendation was perfect. We kept saying ‘how on earth would we have found this without her?’ Can’t recommend this map enough!

I’m Scottish and honestly thought I knew most corners of this country, but Annabel’s guide proved me wrong in the best way. It took me to proper off-the-beaten-track spots in the North West and islands that I’d never even heard of. No crowds, no tourist traps - just quiet, authentic places that felt genuinely special. This guide is brilliant for locals who want to explore Scotland properly. I could not recommend it enough!
