Bruarfoss Waterfall, also known as "Iceland's Bluest Waterfall," is a beautiful natural wonder located in southwest Iceland. It gets its name from a stone archway that used to cross the river but has since fallen. The waterfall is fed by the Brúará River, which is glacier melt from Langjökull glacier, giving it its stunning blue color. To visit Bruarfoss, you have the option of hiking a 7 km trail or parking at the new parking lot, which is just a 5-minute walk away. While the hike offers the chance to see smaller waterfalls along the way, if you're short on time or not up for a long walk, the new parking lot is a convenient alternative. Overall, while Bruarfoss is a nice waterfall, there are many other places in Iceland that may be more worth your time and effort to explore.
