Olympia, the ancient site of Greece, is an iconic attraction that offers a spectacular insight into the history and culture.

Olympia was home to the Olympic Games, and it used to house the monumental Statue of Zeus which was considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The ruins of the sanctuary date back to 2000-1600 BCE, with its festival of Zeus and Olympic games being held in 776BCE until the end of the 4th century CE.

Today, modern-day archaeology has revealed the history of this delightful location – so much so that UNESCO granted it World Heritage status in 1989! Visitors of all ages can explore the archaeological museum, Field of Altis and the remains of the Temple of Zeus at this ancient site.
