Parking / Track:

Parking is right outside the hut - in busy times you may need to park at the main carpark 100m away.

Hut:

The hut has all the features - flushing toilets, power, hot showers, heating, etc. It's a great base for exploring Taranaki without needing to say bye to luxury. There are 3 or 8 person bunkroom options, and you need to book a whole room at a time.

Recommendations:

This can be a good way to try a hut without ditching any modern features if you have super young kids, or extra needs such as a CPAP machine or other overnight power needs. You can then even day trip to some of the other DOC huts if you wanted to visit without staying. Waingongoro being the easiest access for a day trip from here.
