Parking:
To drive all the way to the hut you need a proper high clearance 4WD.
Otherwise park at Lake Taylor for the 2WD road-end.
The Track:
The track is a 4WD road with many puddles that follows the edge of Lake Taylor around to Loch Katrine. If you don't have a 4WD, another option is to bike to the hut.
Hut:
The hut is slightly flasher than a regular DOC hut - there is solar powered lighting, USB charging points, gas cookers (BYO 9kg bottle), and a gas powered fridge.
There are 8 beds over 2 rooms. Bring extra firewood in winter.

Recommendations:
This is a great option if you have a 4WD for an easy to access hut.
Because the whole way if a 4WD road, it can also be a good option for biking, or for bringing a pram as long as it's a very off-road pram ready to push through puddles.
