The museum is dedicated to the first session of the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ) in Bihać. The museum was established in the building where the first AVNOJ session took place and was destroyed in 1992, but was reconstructed and reopened in 2013
