Jale Beach is a very beautiful beach located in Jala, about a 20-minute drive from Himara. The water here is especially clear and vibrant, making it a popular stop along the southern coast. Like most beaches in Albania, during the summer months (June–September) you should expect the shoreline to be filled with sunbeds, and it usually gets quite crowded in July and August. Personally, I prefer visiting in May or in late September/October, when it’s quieter and more relaxed, though it’s still a good option if you want to spend the whole day on the beach with some decent restaurants and bars nearby. One thing to keep in mind is that the atmosphere can change from summer to summer: there’s a new residential development being built, so it’s hard to say whether there will still be construction in the area in summer 2026.
