I’ve visited Alpeta Agritourism & Winery twice now, and each time has been such a highlight of my trips near Berat. Tucked away in the small village of Roshnik, it’s surrounded by vineyards, hills, and a family that welcomes you in with kindness.

The food and wine here is everything you’d want from an Albanian agritourism spot: fresh and locally sourced. Alpeta offers a chance to tour the vineyards and their wine-making facilities, which makes the experience even richer. If you enjoy local drinks, don’t miss the homemade raki: when I came here with my parents, they loved sitting down with the family, sharing a glass, and chatting.

The setting is beautiful, with views across rolling hills and vineyards that make it easy to wander around for hours. You can even stay overnight in one of their guest rooms, which makes it perfect if you want to slow down and soak in the countryside.
