I go to Temi Albanian Food whenever I’m in Berat: it’s easily my favorite restaurant in the city. Tucked inside the castle walls, this small, family-run place feels more like a welcoming home kitchen than a typical eatery. The family that run the restaurant are extremely kind and willing to recommend and explain dishes.

For me, two dishes stand out: the stuffed peppers (speca te mbushura): simple and bursting with flavor, and the classic fërgesë: a creamy mix of peppers, onions, yogurt, and cheese. Definitely worth a visit when in Berat.
