Kanioni i Bashkimit is a beautiful natural canyon located roughly 20–25 minutes by car from Lëpushë on the way to Vermosh, making it an easy stop if you’re exploring the Kelmend region in northern Albania. Surrounded by steep rock walls, clear mountain water, and untouched alpine scenery, it feels peaceful and far less visited than many of Albania’s more famous nature spots.

It’s not the kind of place where you need to dedicate a full day: 1 hour to 1.5 hours is plenty to walk around, take photos, and simply enjoy the scenery. The area feels especially beautiful in the morning or late afternoon when the light hits the canyon walls.

If you’re staying in Lëpushë or doing a road trip through Kelmend, this is a worthwhile short stop that adds something different to the day.
