Getting Around

We are very lucky in Melbourne to have a really great public transport system, so it's nice and easy to get where you need to go. If you're jumping off the plane at Tullamarine Airport and heading straight into the city - I'd highly recommend the Skybus as it's easy and affordable. If Uber is more your speed - there's a huge pickup area that's really efficient and easy to navigate as well. Once you're in the city you've pretty much got every option at your disposal. Trains, trams, buses and Ubers are very accessible for anything outside of walking distance. Don't forget to check out the Free Tram Zone map in the CBD to see if you can score some free transport. Otherwise, you can grab a Myki card at a 7-Eleven store or some train stations, which is how you'll pay for trains and trams beyond the free zone.
