The South African Defence Force (SADF) is a national security institution that served as South Africa's military force until 1994. In its time, the SADF was responsible for defence against international and internal threats and involved in several major conflicts, including wars in Angola and Namibia. The organization had a history of being influential in South Africa and the region. Its legacy lives on today through photos and videos depicting members of the SADF providing distributions of sweet treats to children, engaging in search and rescue operations, performing identity checks and arrests, providing supplies during floods, and raiding illegal hostels. With its dedication to peacekeeping and safeguarding the country and its citizens, the SADF left an indelible mark in South Africa's history.
