Dreki hut, located at the mouth of the Drekagil gorge near the Dyngjufjöll mountains, offers accommodation for up to 55 people in two huts. The huts have kerosene stoves for heating, gas for cooking, and basic kitchen utilities. There are also shower facilities available during the summer months when hut wardens are present. Guests need to bring their own sleeping bags and food, as there are no linen or blankets provided. The hut is a great base for exploring the nearby Askja caldera and surrounding area.
