Skeppsholmen is one of my favourite places to get away from the city-buzz while still being in the middle of it all. It`s an island in the middle of the city where you will find lots of museums, like the Stockholm museum of modern arts, some hotels and restaurants/bars. I love to come here for a walk around the island, sit by the water and watch over Gamla Stan or get a drink to watch the sun set over the city. Access to the island is free, but depending on what you want to do, you will need to pay for museum entrance or restaurants. I usually just walk to the island, but you can also use the public transport.
