County Donegal, located in the northwest corner of Ireland, is known for its stunning landscapes, from lush greenery in summer to orange-brown hues in winter. As the largest county in Ulster and the fourth largest in all of Ireland, Donegal shares a border with only one other county in the Republic of Ireland – County Leitrim.

The town is finely situated at the head of busy Donegal Bay, along the River Eske.

The town’s port was invaded by Vikings during the 8th century, which earned the town the name ‘Dun na Ngall’, meaning ‘Fort of the Foreigners.’

Donegal is an excellent starting point for exploring the beauty of this region!
