Delüün Boldog is considered to be the exact birthplace of Chinggis Khaan, according to the Secret History of the Mongols book. This is the defining moment and place of any visit to Khentii Province.

When you get to Delüün Boldog, there is a local gentleman named Boldbaatar (Boldoo) who will walk you through the rituals to honor the spirits of the mountain in a very specific way. You can find him in one of the wooden houses at the bottom of the mountain in the summer. He charges 10,000 MNT per person, and will also give you a bag filled with the offerings you'll need to give to the mountain (juniper, grains, and wood). I highly, highly suggest hiring him to take you through this experience!
