Dood-Tsagaan Lake is the entryway to the east Taiga, where the Dukha people live. The Dukha people are also known as the Tsataan tribe, the last tribe in the world to herd and ride reindeer.

While I'm not putting specific links for the tribe here, because they are nomadic and move depending on the time of the year, Dood-Tsagaan Nuur is the last town before you enter the taiga where they live.

To arrange a visit with a Dukha family, reach out to Zaya, a Mongolian woman who married into the tribe. She speaks English and can help arrange a stay with a family. Reach out to her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/zolzayaaaaa4

Facebook is a common way to communicate in Mongolia!
