This mountain pass is the hardest part of this drive. If the weather is really wet and muddy, take this part with extreme caution. I took this path when it was completely dry and the dips in the road really tossed my car around. The drop off from the pass is steep, so this isn't something you should take lightly. Take this pass slow and with caution.
