Inside the Zeyain Dzheginiy Temple, which sits on the edge of the town of Tsetserleg, the capital of Arkhangai Province, you'll find two monks who have meditated into a state of mummification, also known as sokushinbutsu. Their bodies were hidden during the Soviet purge, surviving through careful watch by a local family who risked everything to keep them protected.
