The Devil’s Staircase is a rugged, steep section of the West Highland Way in Glencoe, famed for its twisting ascent and stunning Highland vistas. From the nearest layby on the A82, it’s roughly a 10–15 minute walk to the start of the climb, which spans about 5–6 km one way and takes most walkers around 1.5–3 hours to reach the top, depending on pace. Along the route, you’re treated to sweeping views of Loch Leven, Glen Coe, and the surrounding peaks, with plenty of opportunities for photos and soaking in the raw scenery.
