The Story

A little difficult to get to at times, and the locals signs will certainly tell you which direction not to go, but following the path from the top of the road you’ll soon see the right signs to help you on your way. Over the hills, crossing the stepping stones and through a field of heather and bog leads you directly underneath the beautiful wide spread falls of Clashnessie.

On warmer days you’ll often find some brave souls plunged into the small pool of water, getting battered by the gathering pace from the stream a few meters above. Legend says if you’re invited in you mustn’t refuse.

Don’t Miss

• Watch the falls from the start of the walk as you get closer and closer

• A fun little river crossing as you hop the stones. Be careful!

• If it rained the day before, prepare for water!
