Singing Sands is a small, exposed beach reachable by a short walk from a minor road, so come with sturdy shoes and waterproof layers because parking is limited and facilities are unlikely. The famous squeak only happens when the sand is very dry, so if it has rained you may not hear anything; when it does work, stamping or a brisk walk brings out the noise and makes for great photos. Check tide times before you wander the shoreline and keep an eye on wind and swell, since shelter is minimal. Be mindful of dunes and nesting birds, keep dogs under control, and take all your litter with you.
