Still Water picnic area in Pisgah National Forest is the perfect spot for a chill day out in nature. I stopped here after a morning waterfall hike and it was the ideal spot for a quick lunch and then hanging out by the river. There are only a few parking spots, like most of the pull-offs on Pisgah Highway, but if you can snag one there is a great little beach area perfect for swimming. I even saw some fly fishers!
