Hraunfossar ('Lava Falls' in English) is situated in the enchanting Borgarfjörður district of West Iceland, and this stunning series of waterfalls is formed from rivulets that trickle from the Hallmundarhraun lava field. The waterfall spills peacefully into the Hvítá river against a backdrop of an incredibly gnarled 1000 year-old lava field.
