Svörtuloft Lighthouse is a majestic Wes Anderson-esque structure situated on the westernmost edge of the volcanic Snæfelsnes Peninsula in Iceland. Constructed around 1931, the bright orange color of the lighthouse stands out strikingly against the black rock and cliffs formed from volcanic activity. Nature lovers should also take note of the nearby Skartdsvík Beach, one of the few beaches in Iceland that actually has white sand. Reached via a winding gravel road, this lighthouse offers magnificent coastal views, as well as a secret path to a secluded mossy grotto within the rock wall for adventurous travelers. For those looking to experience the unique beauty of Iceland, Svörtuloft Lighthouse is sure to enchant and delight!
