Directions

The Blue Mosque is a must-see for any Istanbul visit. I'm sure you've seen hundreds pictures of this iconic, huge and beautiful structure. It's a great place to explore because it's also right next to the Hagia Sophia, another must see.

This 17th century Sultan Ahmed Mosque is one of the most iconic mosques in the city, with its distinct blue Iznik tiles, spectacular panels of Ottoman art and calligraphy on the walls, and its grand central dome. Visitors can bask in the stunning interior decoration, marvel at the four elephant-foot columns that support the dome, and explore the exterior courtyard. Take in its awe-inspiring stature against a backdrop of the Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, and grand Palace Mosaic Museum.

*Around the streets there are lots of great places to try turkish delight. Take yourself on a little tour, trying them all to find the best ones.
