Fredriksten Fortress, located in Halden, Norway, is a historic stronghold that has never been captured despite six Swedish sieges. Built between 1661 and 1671, the fortress offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. One of its most famous events was the failed assassination attempt on the Swedish King Charles XII in 1718. Today, visitors can explore the fortress grounds and learn about its rich history at the onsite museum.
