About halfway along the Nakasendo Trail between Tsumago-juku and Magome-juk, you will stumble upon Tateba Tea House, a traditional resting spot dating back to the late Edo period. Being over 300 years old, it still welcomes travelers today looking for a break along their journey. The tea here is free, but make sure to show your appreciation for the hospitality by leaving something in their donation box. 🍵
