Kuon-ji is a tranquil Buddhist temple located in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is situated on a mountain and is a popular destination for pilgrims but not too popular with tourists yet! The stairs "steps of enlightenment" leading up to the premise are very impressive with the surrounding forests, I just love the atmosphere. In spring you will get rewarded by the stunning cherry blossoms that bloom in the garden. 🥰🌸
