You have very likely seen this shop and their mochi pounders all over social media. Nakatanidou is a famous mochi shop where you can watch the fastest mochi pounders in action. They specialize in yomogi mochi, made with Japanese wild plant mugwort for a unique flavor. It's fun, albeit a bit touristy. The mochi is good. Not amazing, not bad, just good. It's a nice vegan snack before you enter Nara Park!
