My favorite hotel in the middle of Sapporo is this modern ryokan, a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Sapporo. Here, you can unwind in the hot waters of the onsen, sourced from the famed Karurusu hot spring. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, with traditional feel but modern amenities. Sadly, the public onsen is not tattoo-friendly but it's a great hotel nonetheless.
